How does it work?
Super Hair Removal (known as SHR) and Intense Pulse Light (IPL) can both destroy hair follicles at their papilla base, leading to the prevention of further hair growth. This is achieved with E-light technology passing over the area you wish to treat, usually around every 4 weeks, or in tune with your own natural hair growth cycle.
What's the difference between SHR & IPL?
IPL uses conventional high-intensity light pulses to target the dark pigment within the hair follicle (melanin), whereas SHR uses multiple low pulses at a higher frequency to target the stem cells within a hair follicle - this newer technology is "pain free" and also suitable for lighter, finer hair as well as darker skin types. We occasionally use both techniques for maximum benefits!
How many treatments will I need?
For this type of hair removal to be successful you will need 6 sessions. Sometimes a few more subject to age & medical conditions...
But we will discuss this with you at your initial consultation.
